So I'm a crew systems engineer at DSTL,
and Technology Laboratory.
I got into it mostly by chance.
Just kind of like trying out new things
My university
degree was in spacecraft systems
Which is really awesome.
And, that sort of
kind of sowed the seed,
in sort of the human side of things,
in spacecraft is,
there's lots of physiological implications
And that kind of perked my interest as to
how do we design
that people are going to be, living in,
So it's that sort of interesting
So I came to DSTL, through
and, I remember applying
for several different roles because that
And,
and aerospace is sort of helicopters,
And I remember
and getting a call afterwards to say
but we are very interested for you
because of your background
And so I got talking to one of my now
really cool. Interesting.
Particularly working on The Tempest,
and really sort of
designing things from the outset,
I think I was very lucky in terms of my,
for sort of STEM
when if you do a Stem subject
what opportunities
And luckily, I enjoyed physics and, and
So yeah, I wanted to do something
engineering related and solve problems
That and although sort of Aircrew Systems
people think it's quite a niche area,
actually it touches huge numbers of areas.
So the person sitting in the cockpit,
they are
impacted by the size of the cockpit,
that they're working in.
You have several stresses as well,
You've also got lighting, you know, that
Actually, it's
So it's, it's quite this,
