Well, Jenny, whose house you're in.
When she was widowed some years later,
asked another friend who'd been widowed
if we would meet up for lunch.
And she wanted to know what our stories
were at the time that we were widowed.
And ours were different stories,
years between me being widowed and Jan
So when we gave our story,
I'm going to do something about this.
And she was the person who set up
and we joined immediately.
And it started as a support group,
it was all just to support new widows.
To begin with, we were meeting.
We'd have an annual meeting
I think it's in Hampshire somewhere,
you know, widows were invited to go.
And I wasn't sure if I
I thought, do I really want to be?
By then, I'd been widowed
I was just about to get remarried and I
there and hear all these sad stories?
And it was difficult,
We had a great time, we played games and,
group that you were meeting
and you were hearing that sad
Well, we all knew quite a few people had
Of the work,
who actually
gradually formed an actual
you know, with people that were trustees.
And it became a very formal organisation,
