I think what Jenny set up

You know, I think she got an OBE

And, you know, I think people have

It's not just

You know, friendships have continued

and it's, you know,

It's really wonderful.

Yeah.

And how valuable is it to have a group

through similar experiences?

Oh, I think it's very valuable.

I think if I had known.

I wish I'd had somebody like that.

The friend who was widowed four months

she was in a bad place herself,

you know, to have somebody, say,

and made a life is so necessary.

When you're first widowed,

think life is going to be good again.

So I think to have other widows that can

you know, it's a bit of a cliche

use it if I can help it.

But you never get over it, really,

because I can remember exactly

what happened that day, I was told.

But you learn to live with it

So do you find yourself giving out these

Yes.

I've actually done lots of courses through

on counselling and that sort of thing,

over the years.

You know, I'm 77 now,

outside the Air Force and, you know,

to me because

You don't know you've got it,

as much as what to say with people that

Something I have always said to people,

if you're invited somewhere,

Please still go.

Because actually, you do get forgotten

especially with military life,

on and going to other stations.

I'm not saying they

You know,

you know, all that time ago, but

if you keep saying no, people stop asking.

And then you end up,

you know, and the last thing

You need people, you need to get out

and I think that's one of the most

that, you know, I've met as a new widow.
