Dancing and Music for Morale

Transcript

Oh, well, particularly at Cranwell.

I mean, we had the RAF

And every.

Every Saturday and Friday

Well, people like me and everybody else,

most other people went and it was lovely.

I mean, the dancing was.

It was just, you know, Ginger Rogers and,

you know, classical dancing.

Towards the end, I think with the American

jitterbugging going on, but I don't

But I could dance the foxtrots and quick

I had a whale of a time.

And they were very popular and very

you thought about what you were doing

you could forget about it for a while.

And that really,

that sort of dancing that was great.

I mentioned the one on my 21st birthday

A very important thing

that usually on a Wednesday

And this

somebody came from gec,

think it was called then.

And this man I can see now, he was grey

Didn't matter to him.

He came from somewhere near Rugby and he

and play the most wonderful, wonderful

to us for about two hours.

These things were always very,

It was one of the few things that officers

joined without any.

Without any knowledge,

That was really.

And that was so on all the stations that I

night and that was lovely.

The other lovely thing also

Oh no, when I was in Spectralgate.

But we did have a dramatic society

and I joined that and was fortunate enough

to

of Being Earnest, which was great.

And it was, you know,

as a result of that.
