Well, we were given everything
including a bra.
And I don't think that we had a corset
which old fashioned things like that.
No, we didn't have that but we
was always a joke with these passion.
Well I think we called them passion
often you could replace.
If you went to the stores depot
I liked my WAAF uniform.
We used to take great care to.
We slept on it usually under our
And then when we had our battle dress,
which was rougher material
but we always had a locker and a locker,
a long wardrobe thing and then three or
four drawers at the side
put books or photographs and things.
We were given everything,
a sewing kit, stockings, socks, shoes.
Always we wore collars and ties
and you always had to have
your hair cut fairly short.
We had a flat top cap.
I liked that cap.
I wish I still had one
And then I was not sure
whether we had a Glengarry cap.
I can't really remember.
I think perhaps we did.
Which we wore with our battle dress.
Of course the important thing
we had big gas masks and we had to wear
those wherever we went in the camp.
If we were in uniform.
You had to have your gas
And there were times when we had gas marks
knew how to put them on.
And it was very important.
It was really quite a serious thing if
without your gas mask.
We had everything, including
gloves and toiletries of all kinds.
It was very, very thoughtful.
We were really well dressed.
