right when I was an apprentice,
the fun of actually being here
jankers in fact, 49 days
and I even spent one night
and got rather drunk and fell off the bus
But back to my jankers.
What I love doing when I was on janks
was volunteering to work in a cookhouse,
to entice a National Service corporal
when we were doing the evening bit
and we would get one of our friends
the other end of a mess hall whilw
for tomorrow morning's
Then we go back to our rooms,
our electric iron into the light
and a mess tin in the mess tin
And we also stole bread
So we have bacon on toast
in the drawing room in the barrack block.
