As you all

know, most Army regiments have a mascot.

Well, not to be outdone,

the Trenchard brats decided

And the first mascot was

Lewis

Now, Lewis was given

and his name comes from London,

England, Wales, Ireland

and Scotland,

as boys all came from, of course.

Flight Sergeant Lewis

when his, time expired,

and he was superseded by several other

which, were prominent

And the seventh one,

the last one, retired at the same time

passed through in 1993,

And Lewis the seventh was put out of

Most Lewis's were very, funny animals.

Some took to parades well,

and marched along happily

Others, well, they had to be dragged

but nevertheless, they were always on

and formed a very special part

The only chap on parade

who had the most onerous

and he didn't know

what was going to happen,
