One weekend, I received a phone call

that a family wanted

to look at the stained glass windows,

helped by two helpers,

And he looked at the stained glass windows

I said, well, what entry were you in?

He said I was one of the first.

The second entry in 1922.

So, I want a window.

I said, well,

I can't read many of you about these days,

Then he turned to his helpers.

He said, give him a check

Now, pulled out his checkbook.

Gave me 1,000 pound check.

I said, right, I'll let you know when we've done it.

What do you want on it?

I want my airplane, the Handley Page

I want me to be shown on it.

I got photographs of when he was

And off he went.

So that's his airplane.

He flew in, he became a pilot

and a squadron leader,

This is him as an apprentice, thats

That's him in the workshops, I think,

and that's his entry on parade in 1922.

So it's all Arthur.

Anyway, eventually he came and he said,

I'd like to have a celebration

We got the Padre in and he we found

bring him along

and he paid for a big

Paid for the lot.

And he was so delighted with it.

He died

I don't really make quite made a hundred,

on that window.
