The 55th Entry

Transcript

This is a window to the 55th century.

Very interesting window here,

first of all,

Yellow, red and blue.

They were the hat bands

That indicates which wing they were in.

And there were three wings.

Three wing was the yellow,

one wing was the red,

They've indicated

And the reason for this is in 1947.

In January, there was a massive

Coal was on the ration

So all these young boys, 15, 16, 17 year

Where they could perhaps get heat at home.

And they closed the station down.

But when they came back,

and the first thing they saw

through the snow and hence

The 35th entry.

They arrived in January 1937 and graduated

just after the war

Also in their entry were members

who are setting up their own

and were sending their students here

And they were sending people here,

in September 1939.

A December 1939, rather

So they indicate

this broken wheel is a symbol

and destroy much of a property

And they grew up while they were here

which is part of our school badge,

and coming into peace

That's the story in that window.

It's very simple, but very moving.
