Transcript

A warrant officer is the highest non-commissioned rank

in the Air Force.

So, you have your non-commissioned rank structure,

your airmen and then you have your officers,

your commissioned rank structure.

So, a warrant officer is the highest non-commissioned rank

and it's an individual who is there

to instill discipline and standards

but is very much a go-to guy

for every rank,

so not just the airmen

but for officers and senior officers.

They will approach that rank

with a degree of respect

because of the amount of experience

that that individual would normally bring with them

and it's a real privilege to hold that rank is.

It was, I found it quite overwhelming when I was promoted

'cause it was a real privilege

and it's something that is held in high regard

by other people, the rank itself.

So, yes, a warrant officer

is the highest non-commissioned rank in the Air Force,

in the military.
