Daria Pyrozhenko is from Kharkiv in eastern Ukraine. Her support for Ukraine’s independence began in 2014, and her life was profoundly changed by the events of 24 February 2022. In 2023, she relocated to the United Kingdom, where she has experienced significant kindness and support from local communities. She carries this support with her alongside the strength of her homeland, remaining firmly committed to the belief that Ukraine will endure. She shares her reflections watching her hometown and her family endure the effects of war.
