My first experience was when I walked into the squadron
because you have to do like a tour of it
to make sure it's actually what you want to do
and kind of what to expect.
And so, I walked in, we had a meeting
with the commanding officer, and then he handed
over us to a warrant officer at the time.
And he showed us around the squadron.
What impressed me the most was the fact
that cadets were always really respectful
to the senior people.
One of the cadets had to ask the one officer
a question, and she called him one officer,
so addressed him in a way,
and that impressed me and my dad,
and we thought, this is what I want to be part of.
