Wing Commander Stocken was hired by Fox Film Corporation to fly a cameraman and his equipment to film the 1920 Grand Prix horse race in Paris. Unfortunately, at 300 feet above the racecourse they ran out of petrol. The only open space in which to land was the racecourse itself!
